It began a lot like how most Hip Hop stories begin, in the basement! Around 1990 a young passionate boy was recording mixes off the radio on the weekends but not like most kids his age. When he was done recording for the moment he would pause the tape in sync with the beat of the song and when it was time to record something new he would un-pause it in sync with the beat of the new song.

 

He would do this for the whole show so that when you would play it back, the songs would be different but it would be a gap-less remix on cue of the songs. That would be his first version of a mix tape.

 

From there he would be inspired to become a DJ and then a music producer. DJ-ing would be the back bone of DJ CHIEF-HITTS journey in the production world. DJ-ing and music producing is still part of the business and has been for over 25 years. Much skill has developed within that time. DJ-ing at Festivals, on location Radio shows, Night clubs, weddings and more.

 

DJ CHIEF-HITTS would then later redirect his passion towards graphic design and then to video and photography. Although CHIEF-HITTS is a new comer to the video and photo world his passion to be his best at it remains the same.
